The whole patient journey, the visualisation that sells it, and the training that sustains it.

MyWellnessQ is a My Dental Touch product built by Appnox: end-to-end patient journey management, ageing visualisation for treatment conversations, and an online training platform for internal staff — one system rather than three subscriptions that do not talk to each other.

  • Patient journey
  • Ageing visualisation
  • Staff training platform
  • Clinical workflow

The client problem

A clinic’s software estate grows one subscription at a time.

Practice management here, imaging there, a consent tool, a spreadsheet for training records. Each one is defensible on its own, and together they mean a patient’s journey exists in fragments and the people delivering it are trained on whatever was current when they joined.

A patient’s history was assembled by hand from several systems before each appointment.

Treatment conversations relied on describing an outcome rather than showing one.

Consent and treatment-plan documentation was produced manually and inconsistently.

New clinical staff were onboarded by shadowing, so quality depended on who was free.

Training records lived in a spreadsheet and were reconstructed when an auditor asked.

Nobody could see where patients were dropping out of a treatment plan, or why.

What we built

One platform across the clinical journey, the conversation and the team.

The patient journey is the spine: enquiry, consultation, treatment plan, consent, scheduled stages, follow-up and recall, each with a state the whole practice can see. Where a patient sits in that journey is a fact the system holds, not something a receptionist reconstructs each morning. That matters more in a practice running comprehensive, implant, aesthetic and functional treatment lines side by side, because a single patient is often on more than one of them at once.

The ageing visualisation sits inside the consultation rather than beside it. My Dental Touch — the Leesburg, Florida practice led by Dr Shireen Dhanani — builds its clinical philosophy around a single question put to the patient: “How Do You Want to Age?”™ The software makes that question answerable on screen, showing the projected trajectory of a treatment decision alongside the trajectory of doing nothing, so an abstract recommendation becomes a conversation the patient can take part in.

The training platform closes the loop on delivery. Internal courses, competency tracking and refreshers live in the same system as the journey, so onboarding is a defined path rather than an apprenticeship of convenience, and the training record is a report rather than an archaeology exercise.

  • End-to-end journey managementEnquiry through recall as one tracked path, with every stage visible to the whole practice.
  • Ageing visualisationProjected treatment trajectories rendered inside the consultation, including the no-treatment case — the practice’s own question made answerable on screen.
  • Treatment plans and consentPlans and documentation generated from the record rather than retyped for each patient.
  • Internal training platformCourses, competency tracking and refreshers for clinical and front-of-house staff, in the same system.
  • Practice reportingWhere patients progress, where they stall and where capacity is going, from one dataset.

Operational effect

What changes when this work lands.

Ranges below describe what engagements of this shape typically move. They are Appnox delivery figures, not this client’s audited results — your own baseline is established before any commitment.

30–40%

less administrative handling per patient journey

Typical range

35–50%

faster assembly of a complete patient record

Typical range

25–40%

shorter onboarding for new clinical staff

Typical range

20–30%

fewer unfilled appointment slots

Typical range

Indicative ranges observed across comparable Appnox engagements. Not audited client results. Outcomes vary with scope, data quality and starting point.

How it was delivered

Clinical workflow first, everything else around it.

Software that inconveniences a clinician mid-appointment does not get used, whatever it does for the practice owner.

01

Shadow the real appointment

Observe the journey as it is actually delivered, including the workarounds. The gap between the documented process and the real one is where the requirements live.

02

Model the journey once

Agree the stages, the states and who owns each transition, before building any screen. Retrofitting a journey model into a clinical system is close to a rebuild.

03

Build the consultation surface

Get the in-appointment experience right first, including the visualisation, because that is the moment with the least tolerance for friction.

04

Add training as a first-class module

Not an afterthought bolted on for compliance — the same platform, so competency and delivery are visible together.

05

Report, then refine

Use the practice’s own data to find where the journey stalls, and improve those points rather than guessing at a roadmap.

Before we talk

Questions this usually raises.

Access control, audit logging and data-residency decisions are part of the design rather than a later hardening pass. The specific regulatory obligations depend on where a practice operates, and they are established at the start of an engagement rather than assumed.

It is a communication tool, not a diagnostic one. It renders a projected trajectory to support a conversation between a clinician and a patient, and the clinical judgement stays entirely with the clinician.

Usually. Which parts can be integrated depends on what the incumbent system exposes, and we establish that early. Where an interface does not exist, we say so before scope is agreed.
