About
AI-enabled Radiosondes is a IoT device which is equipped with advanced AI/ML algorithms to provide clear visuals in the harsh weather conditions. It is highly advanced technically to develop a visibility tool for the Indian Army.
Not just a regular visibility tool but something capable of delivering clear visuals in the Indo-Tibetan region that is resilient enough to handle challenging weather conditions, ensuring operational effectiveness. What problems they were facing
- Indian Army deployed at the Indo Tibetan region was facing issues in visibility. They could not see clearly the enemy group and facing huge losses of resources. This was a serious problem and it required precision and accuracy along with specialized body of the tool.
- Executing such a complex task was difficult, we were looking out for a suitable collaboration to achieve milestone through this project.
- Small Battery life was causing hindrance in putting it to rough use by the army where no proper charging source is available.
Solutions we offered
Radiosondes was a complex engineering problem as it was posing cultural challenges. It could capture sensitive information that could hamper privacy and security of the entire ecosystem.
Keeping things in the confidante plays a major role in the army. One of the aspect of becoming successful in task is to stay vigilant but at the same time keeping things secret which could be highly affected due to the above situation.
The advanced hardware body that was to be used in the tool needed extensive research as well as great IoT embedded development to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
The longer battery life would help the visibility tool to be resilient in the harsh weather.
Architectural Plan
- AI-Integrated IoT System – The visibility tool will use AI/ML-powered IoT to process visual data in real-time. This will improve visibility. If we talk about, Edge computing then it will be implemented to reduce latency and ensure quick decision-making.
- Advanced Hardware Design – surface that can handle the rough weather conditions will need a material that is weather resistant deployed in extreme Indo-Tibetan conditions. It will feature high-resolution thermal and night-vision cameras for enhanced visibility.
- Energy Efficiency and Battery Optimization – A long-lasting battery with solar-powered charging capabilities will be integrated to support continuous operation in remote areas. Smart power management algorithms will optimize energy consumption.
- Secure Communication and Data Protection – Military-grade encryption and role-based access controls will be used to ensure secure data transmission. AI-driven anomaly detection will be implemented to prevent potential security breaches.
Technical Approach
- AI/ML Model Development – Advanced AI models will be trained for real-time object detection and visibility enhancement. Deep learning algorithms will be optimized for low-power consumption and self-learning capabilities.
- IoT & Embedded Systems Integration – The system will integrate multiple sensors, including LiDAR and infrared, for enhanced situational awareness. Low-latency communication protocols such as 5G and LoRaWAN will ensure real-time data transmission.
- Robust Communication Network – A secure, multi-channel communication system will be developed using satellite-based connectivity and mesh networking. Adaptive frequency hopping will be used to prevent signal interference.
- Durability & Environmental Adaptability – The device will be designed to function in extreme temperatures and rough terrain. Waterproof and shockproof enclosures will ensure long-term reliability and operational effectiveness.
